What data is processed?
When you use the contact form, the following information is processed:
- Name, email address, optionally phone number
- Device type, preferred type of support and the content of your enquiry
- Optionally uploaded photos (max. 3 images). Metadata (e.g. location) is automatically removed from photos on upload
- Technical data for abuse prevention (IP address, time of the enquiry)
Purpose and legal basis
The data is used exclusively to process and answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to handle the resulting order (processing for the initiation of a contract or based on your consent in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP). No data is passed on for advertising purposes.
Transmission and storage
Enquiries from the contact form are delivered to me by email. Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation) is used to receive, send and store these emails; the data is processed and stored in a data centre within the European Union. The website is hosted on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). Connection data is recorded in server logs, which are stored to ensure operation and prevent abuse.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used to protect the contact form against automated requests, and Cloudflare Web Analytics for audience measurement. Cloudflare Web Analytics works without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc. (USA); data may be processed outside Switzerland in this context.
Fonts and all other design assets are served exclusively from my own server. Simply visiting the website therefore involves no transmission of your IP address to Google or any other third party.
The following retention periods apply:
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order: deleted after 6 months
- Uploaded photos: deleted after 30 days
- Server logs: deleted after 30 days
- Records relating to invoices: 10 years (statutory retention obligation)
Remote support
A remote support session is only established if you actively tell me the ID and one-time password displayed on your screen. During the session I can see your screen and – as far as necessary to solve the problem – operate your device. You can watch at all times and end the connection with a single click.
Remote support sessions are not recorded. Once the session ends, there is no further access to your device and the one-time password becomes invalid. I will never ask you for your passwords – if a login is required for the repair, you enter it yourself.
Your rights
You have the right to information about, correction and deletion of your personal data, as well as the right to withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To do so, please contact the address given above.
